6th, 7th and 8th September 2007 - Silverdale Art & Craft Trail is a showcase of creative life of the village. Between 15 and 20 mainly professional artists and craftspeople exhibit or open their studios and workshops. At the local primary school there are hands on workshops and demonstrations, including a Raku firing, felt making and woodturning, while at Spring Bank Bed and Breakfast at least 3 guest artists/crafts people from outside the village exhibit. There are ample food stops - The Silverdale Hotel, the Royal Hotel, Leighton Moss, Wolf House Gallery, Kayes Garden Centre, Waterslack Garden Centre - or refreshment stops at the Woodlands Pub, Silverdale News and at Spring Bank House. Toilets are also available at Leighton Moss, the school and in the centre of the village.It’s a great day out for the whole family!

Road Directions

J 35 off the M6 follow Carnforth then follow A6 north, signposted Milnthrope. Follow Brown/white Tourist signs to RSPB Nature Reserve into Silverdale.

Public Transport Directions

Silverdale station is on Preston to Barrow line and is only 150 metres from RSPB. Turn left out of station then right and right again.
By bus - nearest bus stop immediately opposite RSPB entrance. Sundays catch the Bittern Bus from Lancaster. Shuttle bus from Station and Village available.
