Planning your Group Visit

Travel Information

Lancaster, Morecambe and the Lune Valley is easilaccessible, with excellent road and rail networks to make the area a convenient group choice before arriving in the Lake District, or en-route to North Wales, Chester and the Midlands.

Travel by Road

From the M6 motorway Junction 34 provides immediate access by road to the historic city of Lancaster, and onwards to Morecambe and the coastline. Junction 35 marks the eastern tip of the Lune Valley and a great starting point for groups and coaches at Carnforth.

Coach Parking

Lancaster - St Leonardgate coach park provides convenient access to all city centre attractions. The park is accessed via Edward Street and costs £3.50 per 24 hours.
Morecambe - Festival Market, Central Drive Retail Park and Back Brighton Terrace coach parks all provide excellent access to Morecambe attractions. Coach parking costs £3.00 per day.
Coach parking is also available in Heysham and Bull Beck, as well as at many attractions and hotels. For further information please contact the Visitor Information Centres at Lancaster and Morecambe, or individual attractions directly.

Travel by Rail

The area is well served by the West Coast mainline train service with regular direct links from Lancaster to the South and London and to the North and Scotland. Regular services are also available from Lancaster to Morecambe, Carnforth, Arnside and the Lune Valley.
