From the Lancashire-inspired design of the restaurant to the food on the plate, the newly named ' The Foodworks' will be a celebration of the red rose county. The restaurant will be simple, fresh and local, right through from the food to the decor. Although the overall feel will be contemporary, traditional materials will be used to give a sense of lancashire in its industrial heyday.
Head chef Michael Weston-Cole has been working with renowned cook Steven Doherty to create an innovative menu that will use the best local ingredients.
Michael says: 'We want The Foodworks to be a really special place and to give customers a real taste of Lancashire from its rich heritage to the warm Lancashire hospitality and humour, and of course the great local produce on our doorstep. We'll also be placing a strong emphasis on keeping food miles to a minimum and giving people more healthy options.'
