The home of Lancaster Golf Club is Ashton Hall which dates back to medieval times and has hosted kings of England in centuries gone by. It will not fail to impress even the most discerning visitor with its Gothic style architecture and superb setting, providing an unforgettable ambience.

The Clubhouse therefore does justice to a most attractive, gently undulating parkland course on the Lune Estuary, measuring 6500 yards with a par of 71, and laid out by James Braid in 1932.

A backdrop is formed by the beautiful lakeland mountains to the north and, to the east, the rolling heather clad hills of the Trough of Bowland.

The course, without a weak hole, provides a challenge to every golfer, especially the classic dogleg ninth, the demanding seventeenth known as 'Braids Best', and the daunting elevated tee to the final green below.

All visitors, but especially those resident, will enjoy the friendly atmosphere still retained by this private members' Club with its magnificent Victorian mixed lounge and dining room and comfortable accommodation in the Dormy wing upstairs.

We are proud to extend a warm welcome to all who visit our Club.
