Ashton Memorial

Williamson Park offers a tropical butterfly house, a free-flying exotic birds enclosure, a mini-beast 'cave', a conservation garden, water features, the Lancaster Sundial and beautiful parkland and woodland walkways.

The Ashton Memorial houses an outdoor viewing gallery and an art gallery. Browse around the gift shop or enjoy a selection of light meals, snacks, drinks and homemade cakes in the Pavilion tea room.

The park is open throughout the year except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year¹s Day. 10am - 5pm April to September, 10am - 4pm October - March.

Road Directions

Leave the M6 at jct 33 or 34 and follow the signs for Lancaster City Centre. Once in the city follow signs for 'Ashton Memorial' or 'Butterfly House'.

Public Transport Directions

There are two buses that can be boarded at Lancaster bus station, the bus number 25, takes 16 miuntes to arrive at Williamson Park and the bus number 25A, takes 8 minutes to arrive at Williamson Park, available Monday to Saturday. Taxes are available Monday to Sunday.
