The lake takes up about 5 acres of the site, and is split into 4 parts, although all are connected and the fish have the freedom to swim any of them. So choose your peg carefully and do not be afraid to move if fishing is a little slow on your first peg.

The Fisheries were restocked in 1997 (at a cost of over £10,000) with lots of quality Carp, some of which are now well into double figures with four Mirrors close to 30lb. Many other species also inhabit the lakes including Bream, Tench, Rudd and many interesting hybrids.

If you ask any of the regular anglers, you will find that no matter the size of the fish they catch, the one thing that draws them in is the relaxing environment at the lakes edge - I tell them to put some bait on the hook and occasionally glance at their float!

Anglers must obtain a permit to fish from the Reception (where a list of rules will be available) or from the main house before heading to or selecting their fishing peg. But as a guide be friendly to the fisheries and friendly to our fish.

Please leave those boilies at home, but don't forget the barbless hooks.

You will be able to choose from over 700yds of banking, where there are areas to fish from the woodland, to pegs that extend out into the water as well as open areas for you to practice those long castings.

But once again ask any of the members and they will tell you to fish the margins or find a feature. The choice is yours!
