Home / What to See and Do in Morecambe, Lancaster & Lune Valley / Family Fun

The district has an excellent range of attractions and events which are sure to catch the imagination of all the family.
For young families, visit Happy Mount Park and the new Aqua Splash Park. Then chill out with a picnic while the children play on the trampolines and swingboats in the play area.

The TERN public art project has the much admired Stone Jetty that features themed pavement games along its length. Quirky surprises can be seen everywhere, from roundabouts decorated with steel Cormorants to a flock of Seagulls (in flight!) adorning railings at the entrance to one of the many children's play areas.
In Morecambe when the weather turns bad, have fun by taking in the latest blockbuster at the Cinema or give Ten-Pin Bowling a try at the Superbowl on the seafront. For really young children the Wacky Warehouse really is the indoor play centre for kids!
Lancaster has some excellent museums which hold family activities in the school holidays. Williamson Park is a great place and has the Butterfly House and Mini-Beast Centre to amaze and wow the kids!
Docker Park Farm in the Lune Valley is a small working farm with pigs, piglets, horses, ponies, and goats. You can feed the lambs during the summer months and enjoy strolling around the lakes trying to spot the hidden animals.
